ARE YOU CLOSE TO THE BEACH?

Copal Tree Lodge is a 30-minute boat ride to the closest white-sand beach, and a 15-minute drive from the seaside town of Punta Gorda. If you choose to join guided snorkeling or fishing trips, you may visit a caye or the sandy flats. The river, cayes and the shores of the Port of Honduras are primarily comprised of intact mangroves, an important habitat for marine life.

WHAT SHOULD I PACK?

Along with cool, light clothing, a swimsuit, sun hat, sunglasses and sandals, be sure to bring some light long pants, a long sleeved shirt and closed-toed shoes for hiking the property and to avoid bug bites. Copal Tree Lodge has a very relaxed atmosphere, but some guests like to dress up a little for evening cocktails and dinner. Our Fly and Gift shop sells both natural and DEET repellent, fishing flies, some select clothing and locally made gifts.

DO I NEED A PASSPORT TO TRAVEL TO BELIZE?

US Travelers: Passports are required for all travelers, including children. Passports must be valid for the intended length of stay. Visas are not required.
