While trout fishing in Montana, Corey Street (our guide) started talking about this awesome place called [Copal Tree Lodge] and bone fishing in Belize. Corey got me so excited I asked my husband to get us a reservation quickly before all the slots were taken for the season. Corey’s description was “right on”, our experience was awesome. I am far from being a “bone fisher woman” but Yogi (our guide) was so patient with me and helped me with technique so that I was able to catch a few fish. More so, my husband caught even more fish than I with Yogi’s expert guidance.

The bird walking tour with Chan, the monkeys in the trees outside our room on top of the ridge, the infinity pool, the Mayan tour, sleeping one night out on the reef with Shirley’s wonderful dinner and breakfast, the fantastic snorkeling with Captain Jacque, the chef who made cervich from a fresh conch brought up from the reef, a relaxing massage, the fantastic staff ( particularly Dwayne, Mark and Desmond who were so fun and loved to play jokes on us) all made for a memories we will cherish for ever.
