Back to Source Yoga Retreat

Are you ready to take it a step deeper, combining Yoga Practice, Nature Immersion, and Spiritual Life Coaching? Is there something nagging inside of you that needs to be healed, that you need to listen to, that wants to come out and be lived but you just never seem to have enough time to dig deep or not enough confidence to unleash what you know you are called to do? Are there certain blockages repeatedly getting in the way of your happiness and continued success? Do you know with certainty that life holds more for you but you need guidance on how to unlock your full potential? Motivation is not your issue but alignment may be it.

This retreat allows you to take your time back in order to re-balance, heal, reconnect to your life’s purpose and prioritize what’s truly meaningful to you. Retreat to the heart of nature to reconnect with your heart’s frequency.

Let me create and hold a sacred space for you and bring my tools for your inner healing, energy work, chakra re-balancing, inviting all Divine and Mother Earth’s support into your life, and manifesting that bold vision for yourself.

There can be times when we have a vision but there are also fears and doubt holding us back. Experience how liberating it feels when you take yoga from the mat into real life, and step through your fear and do it! I offer guided trances and somatic experiencing that help you to reconnect to your inner wisdom and source of unique power. This type of “Back To The Source”-retreat is the ultimate empowerment course – for individuals, small groups, and work teams.

About Manja

As a six-year-old girl, Manja started receiving her first instructions in Hatha Yoga from her father, who also introduced her to relaxation techniques such as autogenic training. From 1998 to 2006 she practiced Kundalini and Prenatal Yoga in Berlin with different teachers, and Hatha and Kundalini Yoga in the tradition of Swami Sivananda with Yoga Vidya in Germany. Manja came to the United States in 2008 and received her 200-hour teacher training in 2014/15 from Shanti Warrior Living Yoga School in Mobile, AL., under the guidance of Tracey Narayani Glover. Manja received her Bachelor’s degree of Arts Management and Cultural Studies at the University of Applied Sciences in Potsdam (Germany) and her Ph.D. in Theory of Architecture and Media Studies at the Brandenburg University of Technology in Cottbus (Germany). She taught at the college level for 11 years in Germany, Italy, and the United States, and published several academic books and articles both in English and German. In 1999 she was diagnosed with uterine cancer, a shocking diagnosis which caused her to completely change her diet and lifestyle. Manja lived raw food vegan for two years, vegan ever since, learned about energy medicine, herbs, and trance work – and healed herself from cancer. Today she is the mother of three wonderful children, born naturally at home, and the author of “Das Lebenkennt den Weg” – a guidebook about natural pregnancy and childbirth, as well as, vegan nutrition during pregnancy, currently being translated into English. In 2001 a sports accident caused fractures of three vertebrae, which after long months of healing brought her back to a more intense yoga practice. Today Manja is a Certified Brain Health Coach, Certified Life Coach, Certified Hypnotherapist, and Master Reiki Teacher. She helps her clients to heal trauma, anxiety, depression, and overcome limiting beliefs on a physical, emotional, and mental level. She also frequently hosts group-coaching-programs about “Diet & Hormonal Balance”, “Trauma-Informed Yoga”, “Women Empowerment” as well as, monthly workshops at yoga studios in Mobile, Alabama. Manja works bilingual in English and German. Her motto in life is: “If you’ve been given much, it is your responsibility to give much back and serve yourself, your family, and your community for the highest good of all.”

“Besides loving yoga, I really love nature and I love teaching about a healthy lifestyle. I feel strongly that living in harmony with all of creation supports our well-being as a human community, as well as supporting personal growth. Therefore, I love hosting workshops and retreats that invite an escape from your list of daily chores. I believe it’s vital to visit new places, meet new people, learn about foreign cultures, and most of all, really dedicate time to your yoga practice and spiritual growth.”

Manja Herlt Podratz, Ph.D., teaches Vinyasa, Ashtanga, and Yin Yoga.
